Operating Tips and Maintenance
Distilled water or filtered water is best to use in your Drop humidifier if you have a lot of minerals in your home's tap water. Another choice to use is Crane's demineralization filter (HS-1932) in place of tap water.
Always place your humidifier on a level surface that is elevated. Avoid placing it on a towel, carpet, or wood furniture that is sensitive to moisture.
It is very important to clean your humidifier frequently. Follow Crane's recommendation of emptying the water basin daily, and disinfecting the water basin and tank on a weekly basis using a solution of white vinegar and fresh water.
